The word of God is alive and active and changing lives. 

I've personally experienced  the transformative power of the living Word of God and I aim to try to share it with many people. 

Arriving in the United States as a teenager and being less than fluent in both Korean and English, I sought a comfortable space where I could blend both languages during Bible study. 

After participating in Korean Coffee Break Ministry for a while, I eagerly anticipated the establishment of a class where I could seamlessly mix Korean and English.

While waiting, I felt a strong conviction from God that today's young adults are genuinely thirsty for God's Word and in need of exposure to His grace through Christ Jesus our Lord.

After some time, my 23-year-old son, living in San Diego, unexpectedly showed interest in studying the Book of Acts. 

Taking this as both an opportunity to share what I had learned and a confirmation from God, we initiated our Coffee Break Bible Study.

What started as a small family endeavor soon blossomed into a beautiful community. Initially, it was just my son, my friend's son, and me. 

Now, we are a group of six young people ranging in age from 18 to 26 years old. I cannot help but marvel at the way God has orchestrated our gathering, - completely different from what I had anticipated. 

The enthusiasm for God's Word within our group is inspiring, each gathering a testament to the vitality of the Word, filling us with the Holy Spirit.

I pray that this gathering, guided by God, will become a community of leaders nurturing others in their spiritual journey.

하나님의 말씀은 살아있고 운동력이 있어 삶을 변화시킵니다.

살아 있어 변화시키는 힘을 가진 하나님의 말씀을 개인적으로 경험했으며, 이를 많은 분들과 나누고 싶습니다.

10대에 미국으로 이민을 와서 한국어와 영어 모두 유창하지 못한 저는 두 언어를 함께 사용할 수 있는 편안한 곳을 찾고 있었습니다.

얼마동안 커피브레이크 소그룹에 참여하면서 한국어와 영어를 매끄럽게 섞을 수 있는 커피브레이크 소그룹이 생겨나기를 간절히 기대했습니다.

이런 소그룹을 기다리면서 요즘 젊은이들이 우리 주 그리스도 예수를 통해 하나님의 말씀에 진심으로 목말라하고 하나님의 은혜를 깨달아야 한다는 하나님의 강한 확신을 느꼈습니다.

얼마 후 샌디에고에 사는 23살 아들이 뜻밖에도 사도행전 공부에 관심을 보였습니다.

저는 아들의 요청을, 제가 배운 것을 나눌 수 있는 기회이자 하나님의 확증으로 받아들여 커피브레이크 방식으로 성경발견학습을 시작했습니다.

가족들의 작은 노력으로 시작된 이 모임은 곧 아름다운 공동체로 발전했습니다.

처음에는 제 아들과 친구의 아들, 그리고 저뿐이었었는데, 지금은 18세부터 26세까지 6명의 젊은이들로 구성된 그룹이 되었습니다.

제가 예상했던 것과는 전혀 다르게 하나님께서 우리 모임을 조율해 주신 방식에 감탄하지 않을 수 없습니다.

우리 그룹 내에서 하나님의 말씀에 대한 열정은 우리를 성령으로 충만하게 하는 말씀의 생명력에 대한 각자의 간증을 모으고 있으며, 감동적입니다

하나님의 인도하심을 따라 이 모임이 다른 사람들의 영적 여정을 양육하는 리더들의 공동체가 되기를 기도합니다.
